The impact of Climate change in Aotearoa We are learning to explain how climate change affects our environment in Aotearoa I will explain how climate change is affecting Aotearoa. What is climate change? Climate change is when the weather changes a lot. This could affect our environment by getting too hot or too cold. I will be explaining how the big flood, snow and the sun impact our environment. Firstly, let’s talk about the sun’s impact on our environment. If there is too much sun then we will be in a drought. For Example the sun makes us go into drought then the rivers go low when the river low we go into a water restriction. This means that if the sun makes the rivers go down we go into a water restriction because there won't be enough water? I think this because if we go into water restriction people will die. Secondly, the snow can affect our environment because it helps regulate the temperature of the Earth's surface, and once that snow melts, the water helps fill rivers in many regions of the world. For example when the snow hits the ground it melts it helps to make rivers in many regions. I think this because this is great because the snow will fill our rivers and lakes to give us water. My last point is the big floods. The big floods can affect our environment by bowling over houses and washing a lot of rubbish into the sea.for example when the flood comes down the rivers the banks fall and in the banks there are worms and bugs so that's when the eels come to eat the bugs and the worm. They destroy houses and towns and when they do it can wash a lot of rubbish into the sea and rivers. I am not happy that the floods are bowling over houses and towns. In conclusion, I think it's important that we reduce climate change because if we don't our earth will be polluted. Our sea life will die and we will not be able to go hunting and fishing.?
